Erinn lives in burlington vermont with her awesome husband and two-year-old son, and she crochets. urban-farmgirl is her collection of crocheted stuff, and it is so named as an homage to the particular style of so many burlington townies that she adores, roughly equal parts city hipster and farm worker. right now she can’t stop making bags and hats, though she just
made some arm warmers and feels a new obsession coming on…

anyway, she gets as much yarn as she can second hand from thrift shops, yard sales, etc., but she also frequents her lys. She is an equal opportunity yarn user - meaning she will crochet with anything that sparks a design idea and in fact she’s addicted to making bags with red heart supersaver acrylic. and she’s not ashamed.

She loves the satisfaction of completing a new piece, so much so that she usually has several projects going on at once. mainly she likes looking for a balance between utilitarian practicality and totally awesome style, and making things that feel good to wear on your body and, you know, in your heart.

kacey has been a crafty girl from birth. poetry, music and sewing were her first artistic crushes. her early love of sewing and led her to take clothing classes throughout high school and continue on with her craft by making dresses which she sold on consignment and at outdoor festivals. she also got into making jewelry in high school but would not take it up professionally until a few years ago when after two kids and 9 years at the same company she decided to quit her job, stay home with her kids full time and pursue her passion for owning her own business.

her fiery personality comes out in her designs. unique colors, shapes and patterns drive her inspirations to make funky, hip jewelry that is affordable and different. She loves the thrill of watching her ideas come to life. her web site is currently offering jewelry but do not be surprised if you start seeing other creative ideas coming to life. while fabrics pile up by her sewing machine the ideas are brewing. kacey is a fiery balancing act of creative and business juices.
